Each
year, EGLL strives to keep our players as safe as possible. A safety
plan must be submitted to District 2 as well as Little League Headquarters
in Williamsport, Pa. to insure our league meets certain safety criteria.
The end result of having and following a safety plan is not only
the well being of our children, but also a reduction in the league's
insurance for the players as well as the overall cost of the league.
Our goal should not only be to develop the player's skills, but
to prevent injuries and maintain a safe environment in which they
play. Little League provides opportunities for your child to make
friends, learn new skills, improve self-esteem and have fun. Safety
is the first consideration at all times and in all aspects of all
games and practices. No one can be more accountable for your safety
than you, but it is everyone's responsibility to insure that safety
is followed.
Take
a look through the safety sections of our web page. In it you
will find pieces of information to answer most questions you may
have pursuant to Eau Gallie, Little League, baseball and safety
in general. EGLL will continue its endeavor to educate coaches,
umpires, volunteers and parents on all safety and conditioning
aspects through library resources, clinics and training.
If
you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask
or email the safety officer or another Board Member.
Have
a safe year!
